To support the ‘Draag je steentje bij tegen kinderkanker' campaign, Lukkien has produced a TV-commercial starring Lukkien Casting models and singer / TV-personality Frans Bauer. The campaign aims to raise money to help build the ‘Prinses Máxima Centrum’, a pioneering centre that combines ontological care and research for better chances of long-term cancer cure.
From model and garment to the provision and use of props, many parties contributed to realizing the TV commercial, and all have been doing it free of charge. The result is a spot of a young sick girl imagining the ideal children’s hospital for treating cancer. Building the ‘Prinses Máxima Centrum’ will make this dream come true. Watch the TV commercial and visit the KiKa action site to find out how you can contribute.

In 2010, Heinz was looking for a solution to store and manage large quantities of image and video footage. The company wanted a user-friendly central asset management and distribution platform. A place in which image and video footage is available to colleagues, partners, third parties and consumers while copyright is managed and protected at the same time.
To achieve this, Lukkien implemented the Heinz Imagebank within Lukkien’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution. This web platform lets users easily download and distribute digital files from all over the globe. By integrating DAM into the Sitecore Web Content Management, administrators can now directly make imagery from the DAM available in the various H.J. Heinz websites.

The Tour de France is in full swing, just like the new TV show RTL Tour du Jour. This show is broadcasted every day on RTL 7 and presented by Wilfred Genee. For RTL Tour Du Jour, we created the website tourdujourquiz.rtl.nl
By playing the quiz on this website, you have a chance on playing the final against other contestants live in the TV show. When you win this final, you get a fabulous prize: you will go to the Tour de France as a VIP.
To promote the website we also produced a TV commercial. In this commercial, Wilfred Genee calls on the viewers to visit the website.
Enter the quiz yourself at http://tourdujourquiz.rtl.nl

Lukkien produced two TV-commercials for broadcaster KRO, commissioned and conceptualized by bureau Kamer Met Uitzicht.
These commercials consist of various melancholic and deliberately overdramatic images that show how two of the most successful programs of KRO, ‘Boer zoekt vrouw’ (‘Farmer wants a wife’) and ‘De Reünie’ (‘The Reunion’) literally fall into decay if KRO doesn’t recruit more members.
Therefore, the show hosts Yvon Jaspers and Rob Kamphues each call on the viewer to become a member of KRO, if they want to keep their beloved TV-shows.
Watch the commercials on TV, broadcast starts today!

It could easily happen to you too: while driving on the A2 highway you look outside the window, and there it is, the very familiar photography campaign of REV’IT!
It is wonderful to see that this image is shown on an office building next to the A2.
Want to see it for yourself? Look outside your window on the A2 highway near Utrecht, opposite to ‘the Wall’, you can’t miss it!

During the first week of May, the 58th International Historic Tulpenrallye took place.
In this race, over 200 teams drove from the south of France to Noordwijk aan Zee (the Netherlands) in 6 stages.
Every year, Lukkien produces the corresponding TV-show, consisting of 4 episodes of 15 minutes. In the show, Marcel Maijer reports from Holland’s oldest, largest and most well known event for classic cars.
The Tulpenrallye was broadcast on RTL 7; you can still watch the episodes on the Internet.

Recently, Lukkien developed a new website for the European leader in camping holidays, Vacansoleil. This resulted in a digital expedition around a virtual holiday resort.
Lukkien congratulates Vacansoleil on winning a Travvies Website Award. Of course we are very happy that ‘our’ website has won a prize!
The Travvies Website Awards are the biggest awards for travelling websites in the Benelux chosen by the audience.

Alpe d’HuZes is a cycling initiative in which participants go up the Alpe d’Huez with a minimum of six times in one day. They don’t do this just for fun, their purpose is very serious: collecting money for the KWF Kankerbestrijding (foundation fighting against cancer) to fund more research on this terrible disease.
Lukkien supports this important initiative with a donation. We wish all participants of today strength and all the best of luck with this notoriously tough mountain!

Always wondered what this little light on the dashboard means? How do you change a tire or measure the level of oil?
For PON, Lukkien developed a Škoda Service App, where you can find the answers to these questions and more useful tips.
This handy Škoda App is available for iPhone, iPad and Android, online now!
Go to iTunes and download the app, or please click the link below: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id436143284?mt=8#

Delivering a successful product after a pleasant cooperation, Lukkien did it once again, this time for an interactive summer campaign for Remeha.
The concept was developed by apsbb; we took care of the technical realisation. This resulted in a funny, dynamic website, with ‘the heaters’, Martin en Dirk, who can tell you everything about this summer campaign.
Take a look yourself at http://www.remeha.nl/zomeractie, replace your heating boiler and maybe you’ll win a Mini convertible!

Although we just finished a stereoscopic 3D-shoot, we are already busy preparing two new stereoscopic projects at Lukkien.
But what exactly is stereoscopic 3D?
With this advanced and complicated technique, you place two cameras in a different angle. By doing this, the two cameras simulate the perspective of the human left and right eye. To do this correctly, it is necessary to calculate both distance and perspective of each shot per camera.
By putting together the different images and showing it on a suitable 3D screen, the viewer can see depth through 3D glasses, which makes the image three-dimensional.

An international jury has selected Lukkien.com as an official Honoree for the Corporate Communications category in the 15th annual Webby Awards. The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet. Established in 1996 the Webbys are presented by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. This year there were over 10,000 entries received from over 60 countries.

It almost starts to become a tradition: big television shows live at Lukkien! From April 1st the team from Sterren Dansen op het IJs (Stars on Ice) will put up camp at our premises for the last 3 live shows of this season. At this moment there are only 4 candidates left. Who’s going to win? We don’t know, so we will watch the shows just as eagerly as anyone.
Lukkien only facilitates the program. This means we support the stars and crew as well as we can at the production of the show. For the audience we can’t do much more than redirect to the website of SBS6. That’s the place to go for tickets and more information.

At Lukkien an old tradition is reinstated, because since a couple months we again have our own in-house pet. This happy-go-lucky labradoodle, by the name of Donald, walks around our studios and has become a real mascot for the company. It even appeared in front of the camera for some of our productions. Well, that’s almost inevitable in a big media production house like ours.
The breed originally comes from Australia, where it started as a mix between a Labrador retriever and a poodle. Later on some other races were added, like the cocker spaniel. The ultimate goal was to breed an assistance dog for people with allergies, hence its intelligence, kindliness and gentle character.

To Lukkien it’s common sense to continuously invest in both people and facilities. Recently we reported about our latest employees, but now we want pay attention to our photography camera collection. Our most recent asset is the Hasselblad H4D-50MS, a 50 megapixel camera that we mainly use for high-end productions, such as product shoots of luxurious watches or lifestyle photography for consumer electronics.
The Hasselblad medium format DSLR, H4D-50MS, uses an extra large sensor and has multi-shot functionality, which allows us to take four different lighting settings with a single shot. That makes the camera ideal for high-end shooting. And it has the ultra-high resolution that meets the most exacting demands of high-end commercial photographers who require the ultimate in both image quality and performance.

Sizz is a new provider by RTL and Vodafone. After the press conference on the 4th of February, an extensive media campaign has started to get the brand top-of-mind as quick as possible.
The brand wants to make telephony easy and fun. It does so by showing how phones work in practical ‘how-to videos’ and by having women judge ‘apps we love’. Lukkien was responsible for the production of the website and many other communication materials.

Lukkien is constantly developing and keeps growing. This means that we often hire new personnel. Recently we welcomed quite a lot of new colleagues on various departments. Click here to see an overview of all our employees.
Do you also want to start at Lukkien? There are a lot of vacancies still open in a variety of disciplines. Check www.kombijlukkien.com for a job of your liking.

After 9 shows, almost 15,000 visitors and tens of hours of live TV there has come an end to The voice of Holland. And we have a great winner! Actually, two. Because, of course, we congratulate Ben Saunders with his fantastic performance, but also Talpa with the enormous success of the entire show, that attracted millions of viewers every week.
And not just through television, but even so through Internet, text messages and social media. This gave the audience the feeling they got to know the stars even better. This approach set a completely new international standard, and we’re quite proud to have been part of it.

Recently Lukkien implemented its third production line for the photography of fashion items. The demand and the number of clients for it keep rising. Not that strange, considering the fact that higher turnovers in web shops and ever changing collections call for direct access to product images of high quality.
Our photography streets are designed for high volumes. Within a few weeks they can process thousands of articles. And of course the photography is directly linked to handy DTP-tools, such as making images freestanding automatically and delivering them online in a synoptic database that is categorized according to the client’s product data. Lukkien can even create a connection with our clever Cordoba solution. This way your product images will appear in your website directly.

Dynabyte had a marvellous incentive at Sinterklaas (the Dutch Santa Claus): de Black Pete delivery service. When one bought a present in the shop one could win a visit from two Sinterklaas helpers. Lukkien was commissioned to give shape to this incentive in the folder.
The logo for the delivery service was the starting point for the visual concept. We then translated it throughout the entire folder. According to Dynabyte the incentive was a great success and 30 Black Pete’s went through the country.

Lukkien congratulates Albert Heijn for winning three awards with allerhande.nl! On the 18th of November it was awarded the People’s Award Customer Medium Launch of the year 2010 and on the 29th of November it won two Best Customer Media Awards in the categories Cross-media Concept and Digital Media. “Allerhande is the culinary checkpoint”, according to one of the visitors of the National Customer Media Congress in Haarlem, where more than 200 visitors could put in their votes.
Allerhande.nl provides inspiration to everyone who loves cooking and good food. At the start of this year Lukkien had the honour to build the website. The editors of Allerhande can easily manage it thanks to the clever CMS. Even Flash content can simply be adapted.

Just as Sinterklaas is a Dutch tradition, it has become a tradition that he honours Lukkien with a visit. Many parents come by with their children to create a big celebration in one of our studios.
Just like previous years Danny Rooks was the host. He welcomed Sinterklaas (Saint Nicolas) and created a nice atmosphere. Besides that, the children enjoyed the many Zwarte Pieten (Black Petes) and performances by Lisa, Amy & Shelley and Elastic Double. With a big present tucked under their arms, the children went home all fired up.

As we’ve mentioned before, The Voice of Holland has put up camp in Ede. Literally, because around our premises various big white tents have been put up and a temporary parking lot has been facilitated.
Just in time, because this Friday the first Live show will be broadcast. In the past week we’ve seen many candidates, dancers and other artists walking around and rehearsing. The expectations are high!

As you can see, our new website is live! To us, it’s an important tool, because we regard it as the foundation and the outdoor-sign of our external communication. But we also want to give some display of what’s possible nowadays on the Internet. Because in that field also the developments are rapidly succeeding.
Fullscreen video, social media integration, intuitive interaction design; these are all elements that make a website richer, more functional and more effective. We applied them in our own way, matching our brand and our philosophy. How about you? Are you in need of a website 2.0 or even 3.0? We can help you out. Look around for inspiration or let one of us contact you.

The Voice of Holland is hot. From the 17th of September onwards, many people in The Netherlands are watching the show every week. After the auditions we’ve reached the so-called Battleshows. After that, only the best will end up in the liveshows, and those will be broadcast from LUKKIEN!
Coaches Angela, Nick and Simon, VanVelzen and Jeroen come to Ede with their talents to fight for the title The Voice of Holland. In our large event studio, preparations are already in full motion. We’re ready. And apparently the audience too, because all the shows have sold out!

Lukkien has a lot of experience with high-quality e-mail marketing. Whether it’s about keeping your customers informed on a regular bases, or supporting a high-potential incentive, an e-mailing is always on target.
And by using the Clang system it can now be done at fewer costs. What’s more, the results become visible instantly, so you know exactly what the revenues are. Want to know more? Call or mail us, then we will show you what we can do for you.

Lukkien is one of the 45 best-managed companies in The Netherlands, according to the program developed by Deloitte, in cooperation with TiasNimbas Business School, Chamber of Commerce, VNO‐NCW and Management Team. The competition looks for the best-led companies among large and medium enterprises.
2010 was the first time that Lukkien enlisted and is allowed to wear its title for one year. “Creative processes have to be managed well to become and stay successful. Our company excelled in innovative power and customer satisfaction”, according to Bert van Ravenswaaij, finance director of Lukkien.

The allerhande magazine, well known in The Netherlands, recently gave birth to an online issue. Now there’s 24-7 inspiration for everyone who loves to cook and eat. Delicious recipes are presented in a surprising manner, there are interesting videos and handy links to tools on ah.nl. And there’s also room for additions by visitors.
The website was built in Flash to provides a rich experience. Still, the contents are editable through the CMS that Lukkien has implemented. In the near future there will be extra interactivity and functionality added to the site. Lukkien has built the entire platform and also produced a video for ah.nl, explaining the functionalities (www.allerhande.nl).

Lukkien’s commercial for the Bosch Free’e vacuum cleaner is nominated at the Holland Animation Film Festival. In the video we see the extra long cord come alive and take the shape of a dancing man. With swinging moves it cleans the floor.
The festival started in 1985 and takes the stand for animation, in whichever form. It follows developments in their footsteps and stimulates the art form. Lukkien is nominated in the Competition Dutch Animation (public’s favourite).

On the 16th of September Lukkien were active on Emerce eDay. In our stand and at the speaker session by Marco Fredriksen and Henny Jansen we presented our vision on the power of video online. In it, the focus is on the balance between creativity, interactivity and technique, while targeting on an optimized effect.
In a speaker session we enhanced our vision through a variety of cases from the Lukkien portfolio. Go to www.madeinlukkien.com for our newsletter with a broad range of examples.

Entrepreneurs at The Valley business park, also Lukkien’s business location, regularly encounter crime. It ranges from a brick thrown through a window to planned breaking and entry. Lukkien wants to put a stop to it and therefore took the initiative to a secured Internet platform on which companies can share the images from the surveillance cameras.
On the one hand, Lukkien expects that this will keep the companies in The Valley on alert and that is might help apprehend suspects. On the other hand there’s the hope of prevention, by scaring off criminals.

In the last 40 years Lukkien has developed from a small photo studio into one of Europe’s largest producers of marketing and communication media. Reason enough for Kristel Folmer, journalist at Photoshop Advanced, to want to know all about the developments in the last decennia. She talked with Finance Director Bert van Ravenswaaij and Operation Manager Photography & Graphic Design Krit Goossens.
Founder Bouke Lukkien Sr. also throws in a few words. He answers questions about the way a small studio grows to become a 20,000 m² production facility. About working for clients like Tommy Hilfiger, Mitsubishi Motors and Nike. And about the meaning of the digital revolution that took place in the eighties.

Lukkien congratulates Vacansoleil with winning a Zoover Award. Vacansoleil received 40% of the votes in the category Best Provider Camping Holidays. Zoover Awards are regarded as very important customer prizes and were once created to acknowledge the best appreciated travel agencies.
The Zoover visitors choose the winners in an online voting carousel. According to Vacansoleil the award subscribes the current market share (25%) and the continuous striving for best service and quality. An example is the recently updated interactive experience website, which clearly drew the attention of the customer: Vacansoleil also ended up third in the category ‘Best Travel Site’.
